FREISA D'ASTI "MUGHETTO"

This pleasant wine is made from Freisa grapes, grown in the north area of Asti.
It had been the most beloved wine of Italy's first King.
Ruby red wine with orange and garnet red tints enhancing with time. Flavours of raspberry, blackberry and jam (wild cherry, peach etc.). Fragrant, medium bodied, medium tannic decreasing with time, dry wine.
"Mughetto" is obtained from must of Freisa grapes fermented in absence of peel at controlled temperature. The result is a cherry red colour and a growth in aromas, the delicacy and fragrance.
It is agreeable wine throughout a meal, ideal companion for hors­d'oeuvres, soups and white meats.
Best served in goblets at a temperature of 16/18° C.
