This red wine is one of the classic wines from Piedmont. It is made from Barbera grapes, which in the Province of Asti enjoy the ideal soil and microclimate.
This wine is made from selected grapes, harvested when perfectly ripe, following the traditional method. It is aged and refined in oak barrels to add character and harmony.
Full ruby red wine, acquires garnet red shades with time, and becomes garnet red after 3 years.
Warm, intense, full bodied, rich in fruity winy flavours when young, it acquires a hitter after taste in wood (liquorice, plums and dried almonds).
In barriques it evolves with flavours of cocoa, cinnamon, wooden liquorice.
It is ideal companion for tasty dishes including red meat, game and seasoned cheeses. Best served in balloon glasses at a temperature of 20° C.
